And I'm back in the big city!
More specifically, on campus in a dorm. Hm. The trip was fun, because Yellowstone is amazing. I love love love geysers. However, the trip sucked because my sister is whiny and my aunt is a very self-righteous Godly person. Oh yeah.
Crazy horse is cool. Go there, with your friends. Or family you can actually stand.
Perhaps the best thing about the trip is we got home a day early, and Rachel was in EC a day late, so I actually got to see her again before school. Mary had a good-bye party for Tony, and we all made s'mores with candles and watched lame o tv. Ug I hate tv. I am so over tv for the year now. Thanks guys. I will miss Tony so much.
No fire-swimming had to be done in Yellowstone. How lucky I was. I should explain; I had the following conversation before I left on the trip:
Rachel: Nik, Sarah's afraid of volcanoes. Silly! I think clowns are much scarier than volcanoes.
Me: Rachel, Volcanoes are much scarier than clowns!
Nik: Why are you afraid of volcanoes?
Me: Because they spew hot molten lava! Yellowstone is a big volcano, and I'm afraid it'll go off while I'm there.
Nik: You'll be okay. You're a good swimmer.
Me: I can't swim in fire, Nik!
Nik: and why not?

Thomas never leaves my room. He was under house arrest there for a few weeks, which involved me moving his litter box and food into my room. Now, however, he is allowed to leave, but he will not. He has everything he needs there, so why leave? Food, pooping parlour, couch, and when I have the good graces to visit, me. I will not be home now for a week, and then I am moving out for good. I think this could be tramatic on the cat.

Oh man, I had forgotten how much fun getting new books is! I cannot wait for school to begin now. However, I had to purchase a large percentage of my books this semester, and i am not happy about that.

the best house: Swedish entrance/Mexican colours/(traditional) Japanese walls/Tanzanian support/and lots of stained glass. Love Commune watch out! There should still be room for the Tori Amos rotating stage... i hope. I'll make it happen. Now all we need is a large south-facing cliff in Canada and lots of money.

And I'm back in the big city!
Every time I leave Eau Claire, even if it's for only a few hours, i find myself shouting 'and i'm back in the big city!' when i return. This can be very hazardous while delivery driving, as Rocky's does deliver to Altoona quite often.
Anyway, Tori & Ben rocked the house (aud) & played many beautiful songs. I like Ben Folds more in concert than Tori, though Tori's music is certainly better in my mynd the better. Ben is a better entertainer, but Tori is more talented and beautiful and crazy awesome. Yay! I saw them both and i don't know what to do with myself. I got t shirts as i am a souvenir whore and have decided to consciously not collect things other than books & cds. Clothing doesn't count as a collection. Though shoes really should.
I'm at Nik's folk's house, with Bekah, and she is watching that 70s show. I don't get tv. I read once that this guy has a theory that tv promotes add, but I think i have a too short attention span to watch tv. It doesn't make sense.
Elyse's apartment is huge. It's bigger than several houses I have lived in. It's right downtown Milwaukee, within walking distance from MIAD and MSOE and many other important things, such as a Greek restaurant. And several of Elyse's friends live in her building or other buildings nearby. It's amazing. Rachel & Allison F. came with, though we missed the tommy bartlett thrill show! on the way back. oppsie-doops!
I got called a Snappy Teenager yesterday by none other than my dad's girlfriend. I feel I really missed out on something important in my teenage years, especially drugs, alcohol, sex, stealing, lying, never calling home when i promised i would, and skipping school. I am now too old to ever legitimatly attend juvie. I must be a bad person. This is what I think: since I don't do the bad bad things Kimmy's kids do, i must be doing even worse things secretly. So I got told to not return to MY house, by my dad's lame-o southern belle wannabe girlfriend. Why? Because of my CAT (and my mouth... shhh). It's okay, because I'm almost done moving out anyway, and I can always go to my mom's house & Nik/Bekah have graciously let me stay at their apartment, but seriously.... Snappy Teenager. I think I may conduct an experiment in living in my car. I can do everything I must do in my car except deficate, as my car is very advanced but not as advanced as ancient rome (indoor plumbing, hee he eeee...). ¶ 14:43 0 comments

My trip/class to Brazil has been cancelled. UWM has invited me to apply for another, but the choices aren't making me too happy. Perhaps I will ask for my deposit back. My top choices are "urban environmental change in Guatemala," 3 credits Geography, or "comparative globalizatin in Mexico & Cuba," 3 credits Spanish or History. The main problem is that the Mexico/Cuba trip/class is almost $1,000 more than either Brazil or Guatemala, and I don't have $1,000 dancing around in my dresser drawers. I need the Spanish credits a lot more than stink-o geography credits, but the trip is only two weeks long. Maybe I will opt for something crazy and completely unnessacary, like 'primatology in south africa' or 'geriatrics in the UK.'
