ruby vroom, ruby vroom
Finally got an interview, and then got two: both traveling a lot, but one's mudlogging again and the other one isn't. So i can't decide which i want.
Tomorrow i'm driving to Madison, Tuesday to Kansas City, Wednesday to Houston, and interviewing for mudlogging Thursday, and then probably reversing the whole thing Friday, but maybe staying in Madison longer on the way back, or possibly couchsurfing in Louisiana for awhile, just to be warm. Also the other interview could be in New Orleans, so it might just be best to bide some time down there. Good lord, my life.
Even though all i really want, even with the cold, is to be here. RGE is having a sleepover-party thing next weekend, and because i messed up my travel plans i'm probably going to miss it. It's amazing how i can do so little for months, and then manage to miss the few things i do get excited about.
In Eau Claire News: Nik/Stacey's baby was born! And it's adorable! And... we had a birthday party for Joe! And i woke up before noon like several days in a row! And i've been babysitting a lot! [Slogan of the Week: Children: i'm glad they're around, and i'm more glad none of them are permanently myne!]

Also some interesting stuff here, especially the quote, "As hard as it is to get up every day and remember, "Oh yes, that’s right, we’re headed toward systemic collapse," in fact we can’t afford to forget it, if there are in fact measures to be taken to save a species, an ecosystem, or a human community."

i'm having serious internets issues today, to the point that fully explaining why would seriously hurt the amount of info i can get today. Gar, Madison, you were suppossed to be helpful for this! But now we know: 1. if you don't actually pay for the wireless, it's hard to complain when it won't work 2. Ground Zero may have awesome sandwiches, but the WEP settings WILL fuck with my laptop and 3. opps i really must be done now, but believe you me that's only the tip of the proverbial recently calved iceberg. Yes, i just decided it's proverbial. Haaaaaaaaaate it! ¶ 14:09 0 comments
