My mom got a loan. (For me, more specifically.)
After some logistical issues are dealt with, life may re-engage.
There will be more updates on this, doncha worry, but for now i am tired and *job hunting.* i'm hoping to have some idea of what i'm doing within in the month, but after not doing anything for several months these last few days job-searching have been very frusterating. i forgot how much i hate looking for/applying for jobs--but then again, it already feels different this time; i'll actually have a reasonable chance to get something worthwhile now. Yesterday i took the night off from internety goodness and read a whole novel, and then never fell asleep: hence the tiredness. Whoops.
In other news, Angie visited me this weekend! She came sans husband or puppy, but i think that means we got more girl-time so i was good with it. RGE & i had our housewarming party Saturday, and it was amazing. One advantage of a small house is that it instantly feels like party... if i remember correctly, the guest list went something like Angie, Ratchel, Jason, Ian, Heidi, Hestur, Kirk, Elise, John, Nik, Stacy, Damian, Adam, Bryan, Cortney, Pam, and Shane. And RGE, myself, and Thomas of course; but in any normal sized house that wouldn't quite equate to house-shakin' party.
i, of course, obnoxiously/drunkenly showed everybody that cute lil' check. After waiting for the damn thing for two years i wanted it around for a few days. But i sent it in yesterday, so it should be in Madison by tomorrow.
God my mom is awesome.

(i have no idea why, but the awwwwwwww noise i made made it that much funnier)
Shane to customer's answering machine: "Lies! Lies from the underbelly!"
(this apparently was directed at me but ill-timed)
Customer to me: "Everybody in Augusta knows I'm a Lion's Club member!"
(how provincial can you get? Seriously.)

bust out the biscuits/send in the band
so!
RGE & i got kicked out on Tuesday! For being terribly lazy/sick and for being at work but leaving a space heater on, respectively. RGE had called me several times during work on Tuesday, and when i finally called her back she told me not only to not come home but that we were kicked out. Last night Heidi, Hestur, Allison, & Ian (sort of) helped move stuff, which worked out pretty well (Ian pretty much just told us how to mix drinks, which may prove useful? (and at one point it was really funny, i wandered away and when i wandered back he was still talking).
Special thanks to Heidi for doing so much and for taking a few things to her house, Hestur for moving a lot of the heavy stuff and not complaining, and to Allison for stopping by literally within minutes of when i called her and for helping with all the posters. Between the four of us, we got 96% of my stuff out of dad's house in one night. At the risk of being repetitive, i am really happy they were able to help me. i'm still kind of wondering what happened to Nik, though, as that Jeep would have been pretty fucking handy (good thing he apologized to me on Sunday and i said i'd believe it when i see it).
RGE & i are now at our mum's little house, which is totally ghetto but has no chris (AWESOME), no father-type (ALSO AWESOME), only one pet (good in that we have the single most delightful pet possible!), no internet (bad), and no kitchen utensils or furniture (eh). The major down side to all of this is the future rent-paying, as i just caught up on my debts last week, and i was pretty excited to spend a few days not crying about money. Oh well, probably shouldn't have told dad i could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
In any case, i still need a truck, as all the furniture we do own is still at the fairmont house, so if anyone wants to volunteer on that one it'd be sweet.
