Here we are together, basked in computer savviness and the wonders of the techno world.
Here we join together, sad at the final moments of the part-time job haven of a life time.
Yes, Rocky's is done for, it's done for good. (and tell me, did you, did you do all you could? ~Ani)
We got an everlovin' email this morning, from our owner, Ed. A lovely man, i'm sure. I hate him with all of what's left of my soul after lovin' you. Said email was to the effect of: shut down the store tonight. For two months, for remodeling.
God knows how much Rocky's needs a remodeling. It needs it so bad. From the bottoms of the gravity lovin' booth chairs to the top of the 1975 soup machine that's never been cleaned, corpus bones does Rocky's need a makeover, worse than those people on the show what not to wear.
But do you know what the employees of Rocky's need even more? A FUCKING WARNING. Indication of error, yes, we need to be told when said place of employee will suddenly fail to exist for an extended period of time. There are too many people there who need the money. That's, um, why we work.
Nik was understandably upset, after four years or so of work, to be laid off so. Nicole was upset, Todd was upset, Kaela was upset, everybody was upset. And deliveries sucked. It should have been a fun last day of work. If such a thing can be said. I feel awful for the people who are going to show up to work today only not have to [get to?] work. Too many people need that job. Oh dear oh dear Ed really doesn't know what he's trifled with.
On the plus side, I finally got to go into the attic of Rocky's. I have been on the roof of every school i've gone to and in the attic of every place i've worked. Power. Poor, but powerful am i. ¶ 22:20
