Oh boy, those last couple of posts made absolutely no sense. Okay, story: my roommate, Heather, is amazing. She has finally proven to me that there are people who can sleep more than me. We're talking 14 hours a night, and a nap after class. During the week. She rarely exits her pajamas. Then, when she actually has homework to do, she'll just not sleep. Last night, and i will guess this night, she spent working on some book project all night. At about 2 am, we finally realized the time switch happening, which wasn't a good thing, as i had to wake up this morning at 8.
And then i had a Hot Hot Heat song in my head, and couldn't sleep. So we played Mary mixes a bit too loudly all night. It was okay, as the people next door were grooving too, but normally that'd be poor Liz Waters behaviour. This dorm is too quiet, we're all zombie studybots here. Zombie bots, jesus, someone find me some new words.
So, still haven't slept. Today i drove, with my dad and Kimmy! to Milwaukee, got miss Elyse, then to Chicago Art museum and the Rembrandt display. Can't say i'm a big fan of Rembrandt, but i am a really big fan of the whole museum atmosphere, as well as Elyse and my dad. Kimmy! sometimes.
(a note on Kimmy! for those of you who don't know the rest of the story: she's my dad's girlfriend of just over a year or so, and he always says her name with an exclamationary emphasis, so i write it that way. I myself am not too enthusiastic about her, but i type Kimmy! as that's how my dad says it and i think it's damn funny. and remember, i don't actually live with these people, so i can afford to like them. distance heals all wounds, or insert some other philosophical crap here.)
Oh, and Chicago has lots of Magritte! Beautiful, wonderful, Magritte! (Which, i am in fact excited about, and use the ! in the normal manner.) and some Dali, and such. I like 'surrealism.' (But not the etymology therein somuch. heh, compound words yay)
I have now lived through most of death death death day, i should go check if Heather is still alive... never, if you value your friend's emotions, explain the superstitions of the Japanese late at night.
or... the superstitions may prove to be true. ¶ 20:39
