Women: "Hi! Is Angela there?"
Ben, Micah, Rachel, John, & me: "No... this is an elevator."
Other than recieving a phone call on the elevator (ie,literally through the speakers of the elevator emergency phone) Halloween weekend was pretty normal for the life of Sarah Eddy. My costume was lame, but i saw a sniper firing into the crowd on State Street, none of us got tear-gassed (Ben and Rachel were sad about this). I also ate candy from a shady man, smoked peach tobacco from a hooka (thanks Micah!), looked at some metamorphic rocks, quoted Buffy, and argued against dualism.
Final Pirate/Ninja tally: 21/15
Pirates Win!
The riots were smaller this year, but the city's thinking of outlawing Halloween next year anyway. That should be interesting.
During the field trip Saturday we came up with what historians will ultimately refer to as the greatest genre-crossover of all time: Interpretive Geology.
You know, interpretive dancing with a point. It is pure genius. Every process we've examined so far can be shown with body/movement expression. I have several (very tired) Geologists on my side, now all we need is a good cheorographer. Brian & i decided our prof., Toni, will perform the special 'burrows' part, because in his accent 'burrows' is the most entertaining word ever.
Scene: John & i are awake, Mikah, Rachel, Ben still asleep
Me: "Do you want some breakfast?"
John: "No thanks...."
Me: "are you sure? anything else?"
Ben: (slowly wakes up) "I could go for a ciggarette"
Rachel & Mikah: "CIGGARETTE?!"
