Accountable Infinity However (Letters to Myself)
30 jun 2005

Rachel R.: "Everything I know about science could be summed up in haiku! [thinking silence] Okay!
rocks are old and don't... move
that tree is really pretty."
Me: "Rachel, that was not a haiku. Nor was it... accurate."

Rachel, Justin & i had a very Lizzy-McGuire-esque phone chat, in which Justin was of course Gordo, and since RR wanted be Miranda i guess i am Lizzy.

In real news, i had a bit of a catastrophe with my samples. Of the two samples i actually had done for mailing off today, one didn't have enough planktonics and the other didn't have enough benthics. (THIS SUCKS. THE ALL CAPS EMPHASIS IS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T REALIZE I JUST SPENT A MONTH PICKING FORAMS AND MIGHT NOT GET ANY USEFUL DATES FROM THEM.) The irony of the one-without-enough-benthics is that it had absolute mounds of benthics in it... that mostly turned out to be agglutionated. Stupid recycling lazy benthics. i loathe thee. How dare you be huge, easily identified, and made of someone else's wrong-aged calcite??

i am also left to wonder just how almost 700 inflatas can weigh in at less than 0.3 milligrams.

All is not lost, however. i'll still have enough regular mass spec data for a poster... yay.

RR: "Why am I telling you this?"
Me: "To prove that art students have more fun than science students?"
